Cassie Nichols is a Landscape Architect with experience ranging from expansive streetscape and greenway master planning to highly detailed neighborhood parks. In 2023, she received a master’s degree in landscape architecture from North Carolina State University, where her research focused on incorporating design and policy solutions to help coastal communities combat hazards such as hurricanes, extreme heat, coastal erosion and sea level rise. While at NC State, Cassie was part of a multi-disciplinary team that developed the Coastal Hazard Transect Overlay District Guide, a facilitation guide for coastal communities to reduce the impacts of natural hazards.
