Join utility, nonprofit, and design experts to explore precedents and strategies for moving beyond single-site interventions to redirect infrastructure investment toward collective ecological and social gains.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Recognize the full scope of responsibilities, key planning frameworks, and decision-making levers within water utilities and how they translate into opportunities for landscape architecture.
  • Evaluate precedent case studies where landscape architects successfully shifted utility capital priorities to achieve transformative, large-scale ecological, social, and economic benefits.
  • Identify the roles landscape architects can play in the water sector and in bridging water interests with other social, economic, and environmental interests.
  • Identify pathways and methods to influence and shape large-scale, water and watershed-related capital investments.
