Health and Safety Protocols

ASLA will follow protocols mandated by the Music City Center, area hotels, and the City of Davidson County (Nashville) related to current pandemic conditions, including wearing masks indoors and social distancing when required.


Badges: Attendees will pick up their badges at the ASLA registration counters located in the Music City Center, 201 Rep. John Lewis Way South, Nashville, TN 37203, beginning at 4:00 pm on Thursday, November 18, 2021.

Registration/Housing Confirmation: You can receive a copy of your registration/housing confirmation anytime by emailing and asking to have your confirmation emailed to you.

Housing Changes/Cancellations: For changes or canceling your housing, you may return to your Dashboard by clicking the blue Access Record in the confirmation letter sent to you when you registered for the conference. For more help, please contact Maritz at  before October 31.

Hotel Cancellation Policy: The hotel may charge a deposit equal to one night’s room and tax to your credit card on or after October 25, 2021, to hold your reservation. Until October 31, you can make hotel reservation changes or cancel a reservation, by accessing your record and, using the links in your confirmation letter, or contact Maritz at After November 3, 2021, to change or cancel your existing hotel room reservation, please contact the hotel directly. The hotel will not have your reservation in their system until after November 3, 2021. If your hotel cancellation is received 72 hours or less before arrival, you will be charged one night’s room and tax.

Tickets: Tickets for events, field sessions, and workshops must be purchased in advance or at onsite registration (based on availability). Ticket sales are final and are not refundable. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced. Ticketed events take place rain or shine.

Emeritus Registration: Emeritus registration is limited to ASLA Emeritus members.

Student Registration: Student registration is limited to current full-time students only. Non-member students must submit a copy of a student ID valid for 2021/2022 along with their registration.

Guest Registration: Guest registration is limited to a spouse or significant other of a full registrant. This is not applicable to spouses or significant others that are landscape architecture professionals. Guests do not have ticket purchasing privileges. However, they may attend field sessions or dinner events if tickets are purchased by a full registrant. Guests receive access to the General Session, the Awards Ceremony, and the EXPO Hall (including the Saturday Alumni Tailgate). Education sessions are not included in guest registration.

Attire: Business attire is appropriate for all events, with the exception of the ASLA Council of Fellows Investiture Dinner, where the dress code is formal.

Visa Letters: Attendees requiring a visa letter may register and request a visa letter at the same time. A $50 fee applies for a visa letter to be emailed; additional charges apply for original letters to be sent by express mail.

Travel: Nashville is accessible by air, rail, and road. ASLA members receive discounted rates with Zipcar, Hertz, and Avis car rentals. Read more.
