A senior urban design leader with more than a decade of experience shaping neighborhood plans, zoning frameworks, and public realm strategies in New York City. As Deputy Director of Urban Design at the NYC Department of City Planning, I lead design strategy for major rezonings and citywide initiatives across multiple boroughs. Sagi's work integrates urban design, land use policy, and implementation, advancing zoning frameworks that enabled about 42,000 housing units, including over 13,000 permanently affordable homes, while coordinating public investments in infrastructure, parks, schools, climate resilience, and housing quality. Sagi also teaches urban design studio at Columbia GSAPP.
