Jessica Canfield, PLA, ASLA, frames her award-winning teaching and creative practice through storytelling to create memorable and meaningful outcomes. Her work is informed by landscape performance with a focus on conceptual site design, materials, and trees. Her students engage in applied learning and design-research that bridges between academia and practice. Before joining the Department of Landscape Architecture and Regional & Community Planning faculty at Kansas State University, Canfield’s professional practice focused on high-profile urban public spaces. She holds a MLA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a BSLA from Colorado State University.
