This session gives landscape architects the ASTM framework for evaluating natural stone, how to translate absorption, strength, and abrasion data into climate-specific go/no-go calls, and why texture is a performance decision before it's an aesthetic one vertical and horizontal applications demand different logic, even when the finish name is the same. You'll also walk away with a framework for telling which new finishes will age into timeless character and which will age into a maintenance problem. Leave able to read a stone spec sheet the way a structural engineer reads a beam calc.
