Where should you begin as a first timer?

Plan Your Education Sessions
One place to start would be by selecting the sessions that you plan to attend.  You have over 120 to choose from depending on your area of interest.  You can Browse the Schedule by date, track, title, by speaker.

On Friday, November 11
Be sure to check out the Professional and Student Awards Ceremony, from 5:00-6:00pm in the Esplanade ballroom of the Moscone Center.  This event honors not only professional landscape architects but recognizes students and highlights their work.  A must see where you’ll learn who the next prominent landscape architects to watch out for in the future.

Also of interest is the Emerging Professionals Reception, from 6:00-8:00pm.  Mingle with other emerging professionals at this meet-and-greet. Build your network, make new friends, bring your friends, share your test and work experiences.

On Saturday, November 12
Visit the First-Time Conference Attendee Welcome Lounge (near the ASLA Pavilion)
The First Time Attendees’ Lounge is located near the ASLA Pavilion. Here you can meet members of ASLA Leadership and prominent members. Expand your network. The lounge is open on Saturday between 9:30 am-6:00 pm and on Sunday, between 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Also stop by Practice Basecamp located in the Expo hall to see game changer presentations, campfire sessions led by the Professional Practice Network (PPN). View the full schedule here

JobLink LIVE offers you exclusive space to feature your firm and schedule interviews on the EXPO floor on Saturday, November 12-from 9:30 am – 6:00 pm and Sunday, November 13, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

On Sunday, November 13
If you haven’t yet seen it, be sure to stop by Practice Basecamp located in the Expo hall.

Don’t forget about the Land8 Happy Hour from 8:00pm -12:00 am, This is a ticketed event but the fun you’ll have will be worth it. Located at SPIN San Francisco, 690 Folsom Street, #100, San Francisco, CA 94107

On Monday, November 14

Women in Landscape Architecture (WILA) Walk, from 7:00 am – 8:30 am. Join the Northern California Chapter of ASLA for the WILA Walk to explore the East Cut neighborhood, San Francisco’s new Downtown.

Are you hungry? Need to wake up?

  • Coffee is available on the EXPO floor on Saturday, November 12,  at 9:30 am and on Sunday, November  13, at 10:00 am.
  • Concession Stands for food items in the EXPO hall will be available, Saturday, 9:30 am – 4:00 pm and on Sunday, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Safety and Comfort

Code of Conduct: Familiarize yourself with ASLA’s code of conduct. Help ASLA foster a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture and environment. If you see something/experience something that violates the code of conduct. Know that there is support. Anonymous reporting is available. Learn more here.

Lost and Found Did you lose something? Did you find something? Lost items should be turned in at the registration desk where they will be secured in the show office. Items will be held for 30 days after the conclusion of the conference, if not claimed after the 30 days the items will be donated.

Reflection Room located on lower level in Moscone South: This space is designed to be a welcoming and inclusive environment and intended for personal prayer, reflection, contemplation, and/or meditation
