Andrea Parker is passionate about regenerating urban green infrastructure through civic engagement. As Executive Director of Gowanus Canal Conservancy, she empowers environmental stewards and advocates in the rapidly changing Gowanus Watershed. She has overseen the development of the Gowanus Lowlands Master Plan and successful advocacy through complex public processes to build a connected twenty-acre network of parks and open space. Parker grew the Conservancy from volunteer-driven roots into a mature organization with innovative programs in education, youth, and landscape management. She also teaches landscape architecture at City College of New York and brings experience in landscape design and horticulture.
