Daniel Lawson is the former Facility Manager at Rocky Mountain National Park, where he worked with landscape architects, planners, and engineers to deliver context-sensitive projects that balance long-term stewardship with the realities of operating in a high-use alpine landscape. His work focused on roads, trails, utilities, and visitor facilities, with an emphasis on durability, maintenance, and protecting natural and cultural resources. A landscape architect by training, he spent a decade in private practice before joining the National Park Service. He now serves as Public Works Director for the City of Aspen, Colorado.
