Brenda Abigail Palacios Rodriguez is an active volunteer, community collaborator, storyteller, and emerging designer and planner. As an Indigenous Awakatek (Qatanum) Maya, she carries a lived understanding of how diverse languages, worldviews, and cultural heritage shape the spaces communities call home. Her work nurtures Indigenous traditions across Abya Yala and Turtle Island, weaving ecological and cultural storytelling into every project. As a bilingual practitioner, Brenda advocates for language justice as a seed of equitable, culturally responsive practice, believing that spaces should grow from local voices, living legacies, and heritage of community identities.
