Renato Olmedo-González is a queer immigrant arts leader advancing public art as a tool for cultural expression and social change. Born and raised in Guadalajara, México, he came to the United States as an undocumented immigrant at age 15, an experience that continues to shape his work. He is Public Art Program Manager for the Salt Lake City Arts Council, where he leads public art development across the city, centering community engagement, equity, and place-based storytelling. He brings over a decade of experience in cultural and community engagement work, and his practice has been recognized by regional and national organizations.
