Cuauhtemoc Hernandez
Cuauhtemoc Hernandez is a landscape designer and recent graduate of Cal Poly Pomona’s Landscape Architecture program. His work centers on culture, equity, and public space, with a focus on addressing social marginalization and environmental injustice in Los Angeles. He recently completed a Design Fellowship at Kounkuey Design Initiative, contributing to participatory park and corridor projects in under-resourced neighborhoods, including Mar Vista Gardens, Central Avenue, and MacArthur Park. Through community engagement and relationship-based design, Hernandez supports residents in shaping resilient public spaces. Assisting James Rojas, he brings a grounded perspective on Latino urbanism, everyday placemaking, and culturally rooted landscape practices.
