Emily is a Principal Ecologist and Fluvial Geomorphologist at Inter-Fluve, with 17 years of experience evaluating and restoring rivers and wetlands across North America. Emily's specialty lies at the intersection of riparian ecology and fluvial geomorphology - evaluating how riparian plants influence river forms and processes and vice versa. Her work includes projects from helicopter-based large wood placement on remote wild creeks to urban river corridor revitalization in cities from Toronto to Los Angeles. She often leads complex projects where stakeholder engagement and effective and engaging scientific communication are essential. She is a Professional Wetland Scientist and Certified Ecologist.
