He believes that landscape architecture should rigorously examine the tools with which it creates: land, labor, materials and ecology. Through said ongoing invstigations into the nature of the relationships of the tools with which we create, landscape architects can come to build gardens that are just, fair, generous and beautiful to the creatures, land and communities they serve.
