Ben Waldo is a landscape architect with SWA Group, based in Saint Paul MN. He facilitates rich interactions between communities and the natural environment through design and engagement. His work focuses in particular on landscapes with significant cultural impact, including schoolyards, memorials, and historic sites. Notable projects he has led include the Sacramento Railyards, a historic superfund site, and the Sandy Hook Permanent Memorial. In addition to practice, Ben teaches Landscape Architecture and Urban Studies at the University of Minnesota. He holds Bachelors Degrees in Architecture and Urban Studies from the University of Minnesota, and a MLA from UC Berkeley.
