Dr. Irene Curulli is an Associate Professor of Practice at Virginia Tech, USA, combining over 20 years of international experience in architectural and landscape practice with teaching. Her Amsterdam-based office has delivered award-winning competitions and projects. She researches resilient post-industrial ‘Water Wise Landscapes,’ exploring heritage, water, and climate change. Irene has led multidisciplinary ERASMUS+ projects (funded by the European Commission) and international workshops, bridging research, design, and education. She has taught in the USA, Netherlands, and Italy and published widely.
