As a principal, Ben directs many of the firm’s public-realm projects and provides oversight and leadership on design and planning in the studio. Ben is a licensed landscape architect and urban designer with over twenty-five years of professional experience providing design vision and strategic leadership on resiliency planning, regenerative design, and adaptive reuse for a broad range of project types and scales that integrate ecologically sound, system-based thinking. Studio-MLA is engaged on fire recovery projects within Ventura and Los Angeles Counties including the restoration of Eaton Canyon Nature Center following the Eaton Canyon fire, addressing recovery, access, and long-term resilience.
