Juan Guzmán Palacios is a Peruvian-born Landscape Architect and Director at Marvel, where he leads the design of civic and cultural landscapes across the Northeast. His projects span urban plazas, waterfronts, and public parks, combining rigorous design exploration with ecological performance and meaningful public engagement. As an immigrant practitioner, he examines how landscape shapes belonging and cultural identity in the public realm. Juan also teaches in the Master of Landscape Architecture program at the City College of New York, mentoring emerging designers in systems-based and community-responsive practice.
