Vice Chairman
Cocopah Tribe
Neil White is the Vice Chairman of the Cocopah Indian Tribe and has been a member of the Cocopah Tribal Council since 2010. The Cocopah, known as “the River People,” have lived along the lower Colorado River for generations, long before modern dams and canals reshaped its flow. Located the U.S.–Mexico border in Arizona, the Tribe has maintained their traditional and cultural beliefs throughout many political and environmental changes. Today, the Cocopah partner with organizations such as the National Audubon Society on major habitat restoration efforts, advancing ecological renewal alongside cultural survival.
