Fred Phillips, a 1995 Purdue University Landscape Architecture graduate, began his career designing the 1,042-acre Ahakhav Tribal Preserve for the Colorado River Indian Tribes, raising over $4 million and restoring 1,200 acres of habitat. Since founding Fred Phillips Consulting in 1999, he has led more than 12,000 acres of wetland and riparian restoration and directed large-scale conservation plans worldwide. He has secured over $23 million in restoration funding and pioneered invasive species removal and riparian restoration techniques. Widely published and award-winning, Fred lives in Ouray, Colorado, where he enjoys farming, boating the Colorado River, and spending time with his children
