Heather Gleason is Director of Development at the Chicago Park District, leading development strategy and resource allocation to support citywide recreational services. With a background in urban planning and community development, she has held leadership roles in municipal and regional planning, including Assistant Commissioner at the Department of Housing and Economic Development. There, she managed the Chicago Plan Commission and reviewed Planned Development projects, advancing policy implementation and stakeholder engagement. Previously at the Metropolitan Planning Council, she worked on regional planning initiatives focused on the built environment and racial and economic justice. Heather holds a M.A.from UIC.
