Nette Compton is President & CEO of Mill River Park Collaborative, a public-private partnership with the City of Stamford that stewards a world-class park in downtown Stamford. She oversees all aspects of the organization’s work, including capital planning and construction, fundraising, land management, and year-round programming. Nette assumed the role in 2022 after eight years with The Trust for Public Land as AVP and Director of Strategy. She began her career at NYC Parks, guiding sustainable policy and establishing the agency’s Green Infrastructure Department. Nette is a licensed landscape architect with a master’s degree in Urban Horticulture from Cornell University.
