Matt was born and raised in northeastern Pennsylvania, where the region’s ridges and valleys shaped his appreciation for topography and the ephemeral qualities of landscape. He earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Penn State University and moved to New England in 2006 to begin his career. Before joining STIMSON, Matt gained over 15 years of experience with Boston-area firms, leading institutional and civic projects nationwide, including work at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Museum of Art, Duke University, Harvard Business School, Georgetown University, and the Lincoln Memorial Grounds. He focuses on revitalizing civic spaces through thoughtful, performance-driven design solutions.
