Tess Banko, MSW/MPA (USMC) serves as the Veterans Collective Community Development Director (WLAVC.org), building and shaping a billion-dollar transformative effort that will result in the largest permanent supportive housing and services community for homeless and at-risk Veterans, families and caretakers in the nation, aboard the 70+ acre northern neighborhood of the West LA Veterans Administration (VA). With a diverse 15-year background in community planning, organizational leadership, public administration, community organizing, human services, and behavioral health (including trauma, resilience and post-traumatic growth), Tess has a holistic and unique perspective on creating healthy communities.
