Kelly A. Curl, ASLA is an Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture at Colorado State University whose work explores drawing as a critical tool for seeing, understanding, and designing landscapes. Integrating analog sketching with emerging technologies, including AI-assisted visualization, her practice examines ecological systems, cultural landscapes, and environmental change. Trained at the University of Pennsylvania and formerly with PWP Landscape Architecture, Curl brings both professional and academic perspectives to her work. An international exhibitor and frequent ASLA presenter, she leads interactive lectures and sketchwalks that encourage designers to slow down, observe deeply, and engage more meaningfully with the landscapes they shape.
