Currently works for the County of Los Angeles, Department of Parks & Recreation as the Regional Park Superintendent for Eaton Canyon Natural Area and the Eaton Canyon Landscape Recovery Center.

Richard is an environmental educator with over 20 years of experience connecting people to their local environment. Previously worked at Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, Botanical Research Institute of Texas, City of Dallas, and Dallas Zoo.

Richard earned his M.S. in Environmental Science at the University of North Texas. Earned his B.S. in Wildlife & Fisheries, and a Texas Teaching Certificate, from Texas A&M University.
