Joshua Lewis is Schwartz Professor of River & Coastal Studies at the ByWater Institute for Climate Adaptation at Tulane University in New Orleans. His research centers on the role of infrastructure in shaping socioecological processes. Specifically, Lewis' research and civic participation focuses on the design and ecological monitoring of green stormwater infrastructure, the politics and ecology of dredging and port development, and spatial planning dilemmas in urbanized deltas.
