Restoration Programs Director
Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana
New Orleans, Louisiana
Michael Biros is the Restoration Programs Director at the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL), the state’s first non-profit focused on addressing the coastal land-loss crisis. He is a landscape architect who leads CRCL’s restoration projects which help people understand, navigate, and adapt the complex nature-society relations of living in an engineered delta. By engaging community groups to recycle oyster shells, build living shorelines, and restore wetland forests, he works to cultivate an informed and engaged public that supports science-backed participatory planning processes.
