Luke Lamb-Wotton is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Mangrove Lab at Tulane University. He is a coastal wetland ecosystem scientist specializing in how climate change and human activities affect blue carbon ecosystems. His current work focuses on measuring carbon fluxes in mangrove ecosystems across the Gulf of Mexico but is particularly focused on coastal Louisiana. While obtaining his PhD in South Florida, where restoration of the vast Florida Everglades is paramount, he developed skills in science communication and policy engagement in an effort to bridge the gap between technical research and public understanding of coastal restoration initiatives.
