Esther Margulies, PLA, ASLA is a professor of practice and director of the Master of Landscape Architecture + Urbanism program at USC. She is a principal investigator on the USC PX Urban Trees Initiative working with the City of Los Angeles to develop equity and evidence-based urban forest analysis, community engagement, and design for strategic interventions. Ms. Margulies leads The Office of the Designed Landscape, a practice dedicated to climate-resilient design primarily on projects for public sector, education, and housing. She also serves as a planning commissioner for the western portion of the City of Los Angeles.
