Hans C. Herrmann is the SHM Architects Landscape Studio Design Principal and a former Prof. of Architecture. While pursuing promotion and tenure process at Mississippi State University he worked closely with colleagues from the Dept. of Landscape Architecture, heading numerous design/build and cross-disciplinary collaborations resulting in ASLA, AIA, EPA, and ACSA teaching and design awards. In 2017 he earned his MLA with a thesis dedicated to the documentation of Edward Blake’s practice and instrumental role at the Crosby Arboretum. His research includes articles and exhibitions featuring the unbuilt works of E. Fay Jones as outlined in Blake’s Crosby Arboretum Masterplan.
