Pilar Zuluaga is a Senior Landscape Designer with SMM. With a background in architecture and landscape architecture, her interest and passion for social justice through design has led her to discover the transformative power that landscape architecture has in the built environment. This interest has motivated her research on modular and progressive architecture as a means to help underserved communities living in informal settlements at the periphery of Bogota, Colombia. Pilar’s expertise in GIS provides highly skilled mapping and analysis that support the firm’s planning work. Pilar received an honorable mention for the 2021-22 James Harrison Steedman Memorial Fellowship.
