Highlighting projects that reclaim forgotten and decaying sites, this presentation documents Black cultural sites across America through design methodologies and public engagement spanning private and public practice. Through case studies, his session illustrates how these sites benefit history for all Americans.

  • Articulate the integral role of public engagement in effective preservation and stewardship.
  • Explain how historic preservation policy, grant funding, and activism sustain cultural sites.
