Walking is always a great way to explore the city! All conference hotels are within a 5–10 minute walk of the Los Angeles Convention Center. Plan ahead to walk with a friend or colleague to conference special events.

Pico Station (E A Lines) sits directly across South Figueroa Street from the Convention Center's main entrance—no crossing major roads, no shuttle needed.

E Line Expo Line

Pico Station is your Convention Center stop. Runs from East LA through Downtown to Santa Monica Pier. Also serves Exposition Park, USC, and Culver City. Perfect for a post-conference beach day.

A Line Blue Line

Connects Union Station (Amtrak/FlyAway arrivals) south through Downtown to Long Beach. Pico Station is two stops from 7th/Metro Center. Also reaches Exposition Park one stop south.

Both serve the new LAX/Metro Transit Center (opened June 2025)—your direct, $1.75 connection from the airport. Take either line, transfer at Expo Park/USC for Pico Station.

B + D Line

Subway lines serving Hollywood, Koreatown, and Downtown. The D Line extension (Phase 1, 2026) adds Wilshire/La Brea and Wilshire/Fairfax—great for LACMA. Transfer to E Line at 7th/Metro Center.

Metro Bike Share has a station right in front of West Hall of the Convention Center on S. Figueroa between 12th and Pico—no extra walk needed. With 150+ stations and 1,500 regular and electric bikes available 24/7 across Downtown, Central LA, Hollywood, and the Westside, it's the greenest way to hop between nearby destinations.

  • Pick up at one station, drop off at any other—perfect for one-way trips to and from Metro Rail stops

Local Favorite — Bike the Ballona Creek Path

Rent a Metro Bike and follow the Ballona Creek Bike Path from near the Convention Center to Marina del Rey and the beach—about 8 miles, mostly flat, entirely off-street. Return by E Line from Santa Monica. Ideal for the day before or after the conference.

 

Several bus options serve the Convention Center directly. Combined with Metro Rail, they give you full access to the city without needing a car.

DASH Bus — Route F

LADOT's DASH Bus Route F stops along Figueroa St. directly adjacent to the Convention Center and LA LIVE. Free with Metro TAP card on transfer. Great for short hops around Downtown without waiting for Metro Rail.

Metro Bus

Lines 30, 81, 442, 460, and the Silver Line stop near the Convention Center. Use the Metro Trip Planner or Google Maps to find your route. Fares covered by TAP card.

Citywide access

Metro Micro

On-demand shared rides (up to 9 passengers) in 8 zones across LA County. $2.50 base fare. Best for first/last-mile connections from Metro stations, including the UCLA/Westwood zone near the Getty Center.

Shared E-Scooters

LADOT-permitted electric scooters (Bird, Lime, and others) available throughout Downtown LA. Ideal for quick last-mile trips from rail stations. Helmet strongly recommended and legally required in some areas.

ADA & Accessible Options

All Metro Rail stations and buses are ADA accessible with level boarding, elevators, and audio/visual announcements. Metro's Access Services provides paratransit for riders unable to use fixed-route transit—book trips in advance at accessla.org.
