ASLA Legacy Project

In the wake of the 2025 Eaton Fire, individuals and organizations in Altadena have worked tirelessly for community rebuilding and recovery. Many of these efforts - from native seed distribution to soil remediation to reimagining outdoor public spaces - are also the focus of landscape architects. For the ASLA 2026 Legacy Project, local ASLA members will work with key stakeholders in Altadena to support ongoing recovery efforts through youth engagement, a design-build installation, and a video that invites Altadenans to share what makes their outdoor public spaces important to remember and to rebuild.
